Lesson: Mark 10:13-16
Message: Senior Sermon from Jack
This week we have our Children’s Sunday! Our children will lead us in worship as our liturgists, our hymns will be songs that are easy for children to sing, and Sheryl will lead us in celebrating the work of our children and teachers throughout the program year. Come gather round as a family to participate in worship together!
I’m also excited that Jack will be preaching his senior sermon this week! I’m looking forward to what he has to share with us. We’ll wish him well as he moves to his next endeavors, and we’ll continue to share our celebration of our graduating seniors.
Looking ahead, it feels like this summer we are moving into a time of exploring what justice looks like. We continue to pray for the social change that is happening as part of the Black Lives Matter movement, for the protests that have happened across the globe, and for the little shining stars of change that are happening as some communities begin to restructure and imagine what a better world would look like. We will continue to find ways to do the work that is needed for systemic change.
On Sunday, June 21, we’ll have a service focusing on our commitment to the Open and Affirming/Reconciling movement. Of course, Boston Pride has been cancelled due to the pandemic. I know that many of you will miss marching the Pride Parade, so we’ll have our own Pride parade during the service. Get dressed up as you would for Pride, make some signs, maybe march through your neighborhood and send a picture or short video to email@example.com.
Join us for our worship on our Facebook Live page (https://www.facebook.com/
Blessings and peace to you,
Prelude: “Salve tu Domine” Paisiello-Mozart
Meditation: “Arfon” trad. Welsh melody
Postlude: “Intercessor” Parry
This Sunday we will have a virtual Children’s Sunday. We are blessed to have our final Senior Sermon. We will have various parts of the worship recorded by our young students including prayers, poems, Bible verse and Call to worship.
Please join us for the virtual Children’s Sunday to enjoy the gifts our students will be sharing.
