“Living the Questions” Study Group After Annual Meeting CENTENARY ROOM
An Invitation from Pastor Doug Robinson-Johnson
On this 38th Annual Meeting of the United Parish of Auburndale, we will gather in the Parish Hall in clear view of the stained glass windows which were originally dedicated in the Centenary United Methodist Church in 1969 and then blended into the existing architecture of the Auburndale Congregational Church in 1988. It seems important to remember that the addition of the Centenary Room and these stunningly beautiful windows was the result of a capital campaign entitled “A Building for Today…A Vision for Tomorrow.”
Several donors to that original campaign are still a part of our community: Carol Beard, Sona Ekezian, Sally Lynch, Jim and Toni Miller, Julie Redmond, Sherwood Norton, Mary Reppert, Don Ross, Carol Roush, Paul and Nancy Satwicz, Bob Stewart, David and Marcy Stuart, Doris Ann Sweet, David and Mary Lou Waslh, Mark and Tricia Whitehouse, Carol Woodworth and Maggie Wyman.
This Sunday we will hear a presentation about the feasibility of a Capital Campaign for UPA in 2018-2019. Are you inspired by the Centenary Room as I am? Imagine what we can accomplish together in the next few years?
Each year in February we gather in gratitude for volunteer leaders at UPA and together we affirm our budget priorities and our investment social criteria. There is much to celebrate! This year we are also embarking on paths that will renew our mission by enlivening program and property. Please join us this Sunday at 10am!
From our By-Laws: “If a member is not present at an annual meeting, he or she may submit a letter expressing his or her view of any matter to be discussed or voted on a such a meeting.” If you wish to submit a letter, please send it via e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org and it will be shared on February 4th.
Grace and Peace,
This Sunday is Music Sunday. Our Youth and Sunday school will be learning some songs they will be sharing with the congregation. The Youth will be released early so they may attend the Annual meeting upstairs if they wish.
