Lesson: Exodus 1:8-2:10
Message: “Where are you in this story?”
These next two weeks will be a bit different. We’ll be doing worship via Zoom so that we can see one another! Many of you have said that you really miss seeing each other live and in-person, so I’m hoping that this gives us the opportunity to see others’ faces, wave and say hello, and to worship in a way that might feel a little more “together”.
Our services these next two weeks will focus on the story of Moses’ birth and call to free the captive people of Israel from slavery in Egypt. This moment is at the root of our understanding of God being centered in justice. We’ll take a look at what this story means for us today and how we are called to be a part of it.
To join us via Zoom please reach out to our office or if you would rather watch on Facebook, but not participate in the Zoom meeting you can join us, as usual for our worship on our Facebook Live page (https://www.facebook.com/
Please share posts and worship links with each other and with your friends. Also, as we try something new, please be patient with any tech glitches along the way.
Blessings and peace to you all,
Prelude: “Prelude in F” Dueben
Meditation: “Divinum Mysterium” Sarum plainsong
Postlude: “Fughette in F” J. C. Bach
Greetings to all UPA. I hope everyone had a great summer. As Director of Education, I want you all to know that I am available to anyone who may have education needs. With that in mind, the UPA Board of Education will be in contact with all parents of students. We want your input as to what you feel would meet your education and social needs for your student during this difficult time. We have several options up for discussion. Lessons, games and on-line social events are some of the things we are considering for your students. We also want to get some of your ideas. The more the better. So, when you hear from one of us, please help with as much input as you can. If you prefer not to wait, just e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I would love to hear your ideas. As we have heard from the start of this pandemic, we are in this together.
