Linda Wood-Boyle will be preaching this Sunday.
Lesson: A New Beginning.
Message: The readings for this week have a similar theme. Of course, in Genesis it is the beginning of creation. In the gospel of Mark, we hear the story of John the baptized who proclaimed a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. A “do over” if you will. Then Jesus was baptized and saw the heavens torn apart and the Spirit descending upon him, like a dove. And here is the new beginning God gives to us.
As we move into the New Calendar Year, especially after some of the challenges of 2020, how do we best claim our new beginnings?

Pageant Costume Returns
Thank you again to everyone who participated in the UPA Virtual Christmas Pageant! To help the Board of Ed make sure we are prepared for next year’s hopefully in-person pageant, it would help us if everyone could take a moment and return any wings or shepherd hats you may still have. Please leave them on Beth Viveiros’s porch in a bag with your name on it.
